STAR METHOD

The STAR method is a structured interview technique used to answer behavioral and situational job interview questions.  It stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result, providing a clear framework to deliver focused, compelling stories about past experiences.

This method helps candidates showcase problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and real-world impact. It is widely used by employers—including Amazon, Google, and Microsoft—to assess how candidates have handled past situations as a predictor of future performance. The STAR method is effective not only in interviews but also in crafting resume bullet points and application materials.

For best results, prepare 5–10 strong STAR stories covering key competencies like teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution, and time management. Practice delivering them naturally, focusing on the Action and Result components to highlight your value.
